Purpose of the site

The site works out, free of charge, an estimate of the cost of a French registration certificate from the visitor’s inputs and explains the rules behind it. It is not approved to carry out registration procedures, does not offer them and acts for no one: the application is made on the website of the French secure documents agency (ANTS), free of charge, with only the taxes to pay. The site is independent of the ANTS, the Ministry of the Interior and the regional councils, and uses none of their logos. Method and limits: calculation method.

Official texts reused

Rules and scales come from texts published on Légifrance, service-public.gouv.fr guidance and regional council resolutions, cited page by page. Public information is reused under the Etalab open licence where it applies, with source and date.

Liability

Scales are reread and tested, with no guarantee that they are error-free or updated the instant a region votes. The publisher cannot be held liable for a decision taken solely on an estimate shown here; the amount the ANTS calculates when you apply is the one that counts. Report an error through the contact page.

Intellectual property

Texts, graphics and code are protected and remain the publisher’s property; short quotations are allowed with a link to the original page.

The calculator may be embedded free of charge in an iframe, keeping the visible link: see the widget page.

Personal data and cookies

What you type in the calculators stays in your browser. The site sets Google Analytics audience measurement cookies (_ga, _ga_B7Z4P75WZN, 13 months at most), with no advertising; page stability is monitored with Microsoft Clarity, cookie-free.
